Alina Mihaela Dima is a full Professor and Vice-Rector on Research, Development and Innovation at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies

Education

PhD in Economics, specialization in International Business and Economics, The Bucharest University of Economic Studies (2007); Post-Graduate Studies in International Business and Economics, Specialization in Intra-European Transactions, The Bucharest University of Economic Studies (1999); Bachelor in Economics, the Faculty of International Business and Economics, The Bucharest University of Economic Studies (1998); Bachelor in Law (2003), the Law Faculty, University of Craiova.

Research areas

International Business and Negotiation, Competition Policy, European Business Integration, Leadership and Management in Higher Education.

More than 100 articles, books and papers in prestigious national and international journals (12 articles in journals indexed Web of Science); editor of the book Handbook on Research on Trends in European Higher Education Convergence (2014) published by IGI Global USA; Author and co-author of 17 chapters in international edited books (Springer, Emerald, IGI Global); Editor of the book Doing Business in Europe – Economic Integration Processes, Policies, and the Business Environment, published by Springer (2018); Distinction Emeritus Professor in 2012, Association of Faculties of Economics, Romania (AFER) 2013; Outstanding Research Award, The Institute for Business and Finance Research, Costa Rica, 2008; Best book Award, national competition for economic literature, Association of Faculties of Economics, Romania (AFER), 2008.

 Career development

Currently, Prof. Dima is Vice-Rector on Research, Development and Innovation at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, but also a Member of the Senate of The Bucharest University of Economic Studies, member of FABIZ Faculty Council, founding member and the President of the professional association “Society for Business Excellence” and Chief-Editor of the international journal Management & Marketing. Challenges for the Knowledge Society indexed in more than 20 international databases (Web of Science, SCOPUS etc.) and published by De Gruyter German Publishing House. She is also President of the International Conference on Business Excellence and member of the Scientific Committee of the International Conference ECIC organized by Academic Conferences; Director of two research projects financed by UEFISCDI in national competitions. Subjects lectured: European Business Environment; Banking Techniques and Operations (Bachelor); International Business; Conflict Management and International Negotiation (Master).
